Innovative Design for Excellent Hairdressing Scissors

In 1932, Kurt Schmidt founded the steel articles factory Kurt Schmidt KG in Solingen, a city which is famous for the manufacturing of cutlery. Jaguar was first introduced as the brand name for hairdressing scissors in the late sixties, and it was already a short time later that it also became the company name. This name reflected the specialization in the segment of hairdressing scissors and marked the starting point for the development to become one of the leading manufacturers in this field.
The Solingen-based company Zwilling J.A. Henckels which has a worldwide reputation has been a strong partner since 1988.

Products

JAGUAR is intensively working on the further development of hairdressing scissors and the continuous expansion of production engineering. At the same time, the product range is extended: Apart from a high-grade range of brushes, Jaguar has also included electrical appliances in its range.
With the ThermoCut-System Jaguar TC launched onto the market, hair cutting becomes a wellness treatment.

International

JAGUAR's competence has convinced professionals in more than 80 countries worldwide.

JAGUAR is one of the few manufacturers of hairdressing scissors to be successful in Japan. The JAGUAR FINESSE won the "National Award for Function and Design" there. In June 2001 the hairdressing scissors FINESSE FLEX won the renowned US "Silver Award" of the Designers Society of America.
